I received an email from the admin at Stillers.com. Here's his message:
I'm a writer for a Steelers fan site, Stillers.com ( http://stillers.com ). Last season I tried to put together detailed stats for the Steelers that would provide an objective means of judging players such as offensive lineman and DB's. You can see it here:http://stillers.com/articles/1797.aspx
I'm currently looking to do this on a league-wide basis, so there is a set standard by which to compare teams/players. I'm currently talking to the owner of Cold Hard Football Facts ( http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/index.php ) about hosting the information for everyone, and linking back to the sites involved (who would keep their own records with analysis).
He's interested, and it's really a matter of putting together the interested sites.Your site would be asked to put together a group to gather the information. This will mostly have to be done by watching the games and breaking it down. Each individual would be looking at 1-2 hours of work (maybe less) a week. It would probably take about 4 people to do it (that's the number I'm putting together for the Steelers).
You could cover it however you want on your site. The information would then be submitted to me or Cold Hard Football Facts for a league wide database. This is a pretty ambitious project, but it potential rewards for everyone involved. I hope you're interested.
If anyone is interested, please drop me a note at tl@profootball24x7.com
Thanks....
