There was more good news for the Ravens on Monday that isn’t being discussed until now. The Niners got a third round compensatory pick for Julian Peterson in this year’s NFL draft. The 2007 Pro Bowler had 89 tackles this season to go with 10 sacks, 1 interception and 5 passes defended in 16 games. If AD matches his 2006 performance (83 tackles, 11 sacks, 1 interception and 6 passes defended) next season with the Patriots, given his salary and certain Pro Bowl status, it is a near lock that his loss will score a third round compensatory pick for the Ravens.

Based on the picks we received this year, it would seem that not only would we get a 3rd for AD, but if Ovie and Pashos perform well for their new teams that based on their salaries we may get two more 4th round picks for them.

Will we be eligible for receiving anything for Jamal? Does he count as a FA? Technically his contract from last year was up....hmmm that could give us four very high compensatory picks if that is the case.

Jamal's contract was not up, we will not receive any compensatory draft picks for him.

Pashos appears to be borderline 4/5 and Mughelli 5/6 borderline. Franklyn in the 6th. I'm thinking at this point we are looking at 3, 5,6, 6.

Maybe last year but you have to remember that these players this year get inflated contracts

Read this last night and it just shows the genius of Ozzie once again.Good story, and maybe all the naysayers will pipe down a little bit.....but I doubt it.

The Ravens are poised for another run and will always be as long as the man,the myth, the legend himself the Wizard of Oz is running the show.
