09-17-2006, 12:07 PM
I've never played center outside of practice and I can promise you I'm 100 X better than that worthless piece of crap Flynn.

He should join Porter on the sidelines.

Sephy

LOL at Aaron Brooks.

Playcalling has been pretty pathetic so far. Come on Fassell!

Hrafn
09-17-2006, 12:25 PM

Demetrius! First down!

Sephy
09-17-2006, 12:27 PM
The playcalling is really predictable and Jamal is getting no room. THIS RUN D SUCKS, BEAT THEM UP.

darb72
09-17-2006, 12:28 PM
Ok, maybe the Raiders center is the worst I've ever seen.

Flynn is still a close second.

Sephy
09-17-2006, 12:28 PM
Great catch by Clarence Moore, if only he could get those feet in.

09-17-2006, 12:29 PM

Heck of a job coming down with the ball. To bad he was out of bounds.

Holy crap now the penalties start coming on.

09-17-2006, 12:36 PM

Beerracuda
09-17-2006, 12:45 PM
Defense looking great so far, as usual. Offense is looking a bit shaky, and quite out of synch. Maybe it's just nerves playing in front of the home crowd for the first time this season. Hopefully they'll settle down now in the 2nd quarter.

darb72
09-17-2006, 12:48 PM
So all of our QBs get tripped up by the center?

Maybe the FO should think about fixing that little problem.:grbac:

So all of our QBs get tripped up by the center?

Maybe the FO should think about fixing that little problem.:grbac:

Hell, Darb, I've been waiting YEARS for our front office to "fix" that Number 62, but each year I have to watch his worthless ass screw up. Hopefully, this will be the last year for Flynn. (of course, I say that every year too)

Art-Florida
09-17-2006, 12:54 PM
So far...defense is like from another galaxy.

The offense: running:poor passing: sporadic. McNair's throws are second-rate, but he does everything else really well. Blowout still possible.

One more score and look for Boller early in the 3rd quarter.

Hrafn
09-17-2006, 12:55 PM
Guess they have been *thinking* about it, drafting centers reasonably high two straight drafts, a little late, and hasn't helped yet, but still leaves me with a little hope.

darb72
09-17-2006, 12:59 PM
Every time I watch Flynn play, I'm reminded of my first full contact practice in college. Both our DTs played in the NFL, and my scrawny 240# butt was at center for the first time ever.

I turned to the QB and asked him if he was fast.
"Yeah, pretty fast."
"Good. You might want to run because I'm not slowing them down."

Hrafn
09-17-2006, 01:01 PM

09-17-2006, 01:16 PM

WOW. 1st and goal inside the 1 yard line, and the Ravens THROW THE BALL  .... and score!

1st and 10 from the 17- Hand off to Jamal for a loss of one.
2nd and 11 from the 16- Incomplete, short hopped by McNair.
3rd and 11 from the 16- Sacked by Warren Sapp. Decent protection by the line but McNair held on to it to long.

Time to punt.

ExiledRaven
09-17-2006, 01:53 PM
The offense is flat out making me cry. The line is getting blown up all over the place and McNair can't hit anyone.

We've got a lot of work to do here.

darb72
09-17-2006, 01:53 PM
Raiders ball on the 39.

1st and 10- Justin Fargas for one yard off the left side
2nd and 9- Play-action, RAY LEWIS WITH THE INT.

ExiledRaven
09-17-2006, 01:54 PM
at least the D is doing well, Ray INT.

Thank god the D is winning this game.

darb72
09-17-2006, 01:56 PM
1st and 10- McNair goes deep to Clarence, but good coverage by the Raiders.
2nd and 10- Musa off the left side for a loss of four.
3rd and 14- Terrible pass by McNair, and a Raider dropped the INT.

Punt time. Great punt and great coverage by Prude, downing the ball inside the Raiders five.

Sephy
09-17-2006, 01:58 PM
Offensive line looks awful. McNair is out of sync.

darb72
09-17-2006, 02:01 PM
Raiders ball at the 4 yard line.

1st and 10- Hand off to Jordan for about a yard on the left side.
2nd and 9- Walter throws out of his own end-zone, but it hits the receiver in the knee.
3rd and 9- Safety AD.

Flag on the play. Holding on the Raiders.

25 yard return by Sams to the 26, but there is a penalty. Offsides on the Raiders, so

Ball on the 31

2nd and 1- Play action and McNair is sacked yet again by Warren Sapp.

3rd and 8- McNair under pressure, but gets the ball to Heap for five yards. Penalty, offsides on the Raiders. Ogden is down. Gosh there is a lot happening on this down. I'm kind of getting tired of typing about it.

3rd and 5- McNair has the ball tipped yet again by Sands.

Punt time.

ExiledRaven
09-17-2006, 02:15 PM
I was really hoping we'd fix things on offense after the 2-minute drill, but we can't seem to do anything right.

false starts, holding, can't hit open recievers, can't run.

we're going to win just because the D is good or the raiders O is that bad

I tell ya what.... I really DO NOT like the play calling on that last series, or overall for the day for that matter. On the 2nd and 3rd down plays, they were totally committed to one receiver. I would've had McNair roll out on at least one of those plays...

Is Billick calling the plays again?

1st and 10- Pass incomplete to Whited.

2nd and 10- 9 yard completion to Curry.

3rd and 1- Pitch right to Jordan for one yard but a few inches short of the first down.

4th and inches- Walter with the QB sneak for one yard. He jumps right over the top.

1st and 10- Walter throws way out of bounds, but there is a penalty. Illegal contact on McAlister.

1st and 10- Kelly Gregg blows the play up in the backfield. Jordan to the right sidebut Gregg gets him for about an eight yard loss.

2nd and 18- Incomplete to Moss. Reed breaks up the pass.

3rd and 18- Incomplete to Alvin Whited. Poor Alvin gets drilled by the safety Landry.

SeaBass kicks a 51 yard field goal.

darb72
09-17-2006, 02:47 PM

Taunting penalty on Oakland. 15 yards added to the end of the run. Ball on the 40

1st and 10- Jamal up the middle for 8 yards.

2nd and 2- Jamal up the middle for about a yard.

3rd and 1- Pass complete to Heap for about 2 yards up to midfield.

1st and 10- McNair rolls right, complete to Green for 1 yard.

2nd and 10- Musa Smith up the middle but loses a yard.

2nd and 5- Pass complete to Whited for 11 yards. First down.

1st and 10- Short hopped by Walter.

2nd and 10- Pass incomplete. Penalty on the play. Pass interferance on McAlister? And another 15 yard penalty on CMac.

1st and 10- Huge reception of 28 by Williams.

1st and 10- Incomplete pass. Good pressure by Bart Scott.

2nd and 10- Way overthrown to Randy Moss in the endzone. How exactly does Randy freaking Moss get that wide open.

3rd and 10- Way overthrown to someone in the redzone. Walter just throws it away because of great pressure.

4th and 10- Pass overthrown towards Walter in the endzone.

Well, a win is a win is a win, and while the defense was great again, most of us will agree that the offense is still a bit of a question mark. 1st and 10- Musa Smith off the left side for a gain of 16 yards.
