And not for any possible acne breakouts my man.

It's time to get pro-active and get Adalius Thomas inked to a new long-term contract extension, before he hits the open market this coming offseason.

IMHO, this is the glue that holds our defense together. Alongside Bart Scott, Thomas is an incredibly consistent nightmare for opposing offenses. He lines up everywhere, tackles anything, and can cover ANYONE. Simply put, Thomas in an irreplaceable beast, a player that takes this defense from good to special simply by lining up and playing ball.

Ozzie - take a page from the team up I-95 in Philadelphia, and ink this guy before he hits the open market. We got a discout last time around, it's now time to pay up for the services of the league's most unheralded defender. With Bart Scott and Thomas, our linebacking crew will be in great hands for a long time if we can keep AD in purple for the long-haul.

I agree. I understand that we could be under cap restraints, but we must give every effort to keep this guy. We can't just let Thomas walk. Even if it keeps us from re-signing Kyle Boller to an extension, we must re-sign Thomas.

It's more likely AD vs Ray vs Suggs. I think its possible we carry one or two of them next year, but highly unlikely that we carry three so you choose, at least one of the three, who do we need least? And Most?

My thinking? re-sign AD now, give Cody more time at End, and assuiming Pryce is healthy all season, you trade Suggs in the offseason for a #1 pick. Draft another end or two on the first day, he is the most replaceable cog of the three. As far as I'm concerned, Ray should play his contract out and retire near the top of his game.

Wow, that is a bold move and one that great organizations make, and we are a great organization.

The longer we wait to sign him,the more its going to cost us.I'm starting to think that the "secret" is out and others around the NFL now are well aware of how good AD is,and if he hits the market I doubt we would be able to match what someone else might offer. Also the thought that maybe AD wants to hit the market and try to get the big pay day, after playing for chump change for 5 years(comparitively) has crossed my mind.

I would rather keep Suggs. He is young and plays a very versital position for the Ravens. I wonder if any of the vets would be willing to redo their deals? Also keep in mind that JO might very well retire after this season. Don't know how that effects the cap but if the cap is relieved of his contract upon retirement, that would open the possiblity of retaining Ray, Suggs and AD.

Even if it is risky resigning AD due to his age, the man deserves a good offer from the Ravens. Make it happen Ozzie.

We may have t wait until after the season on JO's decision. Also I hope we are not counting on Cody taking over for AD. He has been inactive for the last 2 games. One could read into that anyway one wants to. The fact is Cody isn't as good as AD and can't even crack the 45 man roster for playing time. That tells me that Cody isn't ready for primetime and they need to commit to AD after this season with a decent contract. I wonder if AD will do the same thing as Scott. Possible home team discount to play for the team that signed him as a rookie.

Come to think of it, They are giving Jarrett Johnson snaps as outside LB to spell AD. Does that means Cody isn't as good as Jarrett Johnson?

Oh God yes. Get AD signed now. He has waited his turn and has earned the money by being a great players and a true friend to the fans.

I also wonder if more of a possiblity for Cody to stick to DE. And become Pryce's backup?

I agree the guy is very fan friendly and will spend more then the usual attention talking to and greeting the fans. He is also one of the smartest guys on the defense. He is a commander and knows what everyone's assignment is. I think the ultimate compliment for AD came last season opening night when the Colts and Peyton Manning keyed off of where AD lined up. There is respect around the league for AD.

I think he's a must sign if the money is there.

Everyone seems to forget that the cap will be 110 million and its going to keep going up,the money will be there. Its not like the old days at 85 million where it was tight when you wanted to resign guys. The fact that he is 29 means that will scare some teams off(because once you hit 30 your career is over in the NFL,according to some)and will keep him from getting any MEGA buck offers.SIGN THE MAN!!!!!
