...Brian Rimph, that is. Forgotten man? He was doing an excellent job at right guard until the injury. If fully recovered, and if he continues to improve, I see no reason why he can't play there and do a good job for many seasons to come.

We do NOT need to draft another guard! I'd love to see us get Kalil for the center spot, and pencil Chester in to compete at guard but again, it's not necessary. You have Brown, Chester, and Rimph for the interior, and Vincent and Flynn for depth. More than adequate, IMO.

Tackle, on the other hand, is in dire straits. J.O.?, yeah, but for how long, one, maybe two years at most. Terry? Yes, but after him who? Short answer: no one.

It looks more and more like Staley is gong to be long gone, along with Levi Brown and Joe Thomas, of course. Uh, oh... we have problems.

The way I see it, we either have to hope Tony Ugoh is there in the 2nd, or get lucky on the second day on one of the second or third echelon people. We desperately need one tackle, and two would be better.

If all this is true, then who DO we take in the first round? BPA, of course. After that, it gets interesting. Very interesting, but In Oz I trust. (fingers crossed)

When you are picking as late as we are in the draft you take the best player that is still on the board. I know its become a bit cliché to say but if the shoe fits.

He was only ever backup or part time starter material. He's solid depth but you don't pass on picking up a good interior O-lineman because you have Rimpf.

I wouldn't pick a guard in round one simply because they aren't worth it. What I would do is take Ryan Kalil and plug him in at centre for the next decade, he's gonna be very very good.
