Here's our chance to dominate this stadium like Steelers fans do on the road. As of yesterday afternoon there were 6 pages worth of tickets on ebay for the game on Sunday. As Ravens fans we should make a statement and buy up all the tickets and go. I will be there on Sunday my fourth straight year going to a Ravens/Browns game in Cleveland. We need to start to show our presence on the road and not just in warm weather cities like Jacksonville and Tampa. The Ravens need our support on the road as well as at home

I wish I had the weekend off and an extra $300 in my pocket, cause those 50 yard line tickets look fan-freakin-tastic! Someone that goes needs to make a "Why isn't Art in the Hall of Fame?" sign. The brownies would hate it, but I guarentee you'd get on TV.

Yes, braven, you have my sincere condolences.
Believe it or not, there are some things that take precedent over football.

We as Ravens fans would travel better if the divsions actually made sense. Most people cant travel out to Ohio or Pittsburgh on a Sunday. The only reason the Steeler fans do so well is because they have a gigantic fan base all over the country.
Here is how the Divisions should be:
North
Indy
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Cinci
East
Ravens
Jets
Bills
Pats
South
Jags
Dolphins
Texans
Titans
West
Stays the same
These division games would definatley make more geographical sense. New York is certainly driving distance, and New England isnt bad either.
But of course this will never happen, the only chance would be if LA gets an expansion and they have to reformat the divisions again, but I doubt that would happen.

Actually, being that I live in western MD, Pittsburgh ain't that far....Buffalo and New England are probably as far or more so, than Cinci or Cleveland.

I'm not trying to argumentive but I feel as fans we can help our team and be more supportive in person and when you see how many Browns fans are trying to dump their ticekts so early it would be a great opportunity to take advantage of. I've been there the last 3 years and they are miserable, nasty people and their hatred for Baltimore runs deep. If it were a true on field rivalry that would be one thing but they won't let go of the Modell situation. It's time to get over it and move on. We as fans can send a message to them that we're not intimated by them and also support our team. Since it's a 4:05 game I'm flying out around 10:30 and have a 9:20 flight back and should be back to my house shortly after 11P.M. and at work early Monday morning. I know everyone can't because of otherobligations but it would be nice to have a strong showing.

How is New England a better drive than Pittsburgh or Cleveland? I think Pitt is about a 6 hour drive, and Foxboro is at least 7.
Now, if we were in the same division with Philly and Washington, that would be some easy driving.
I would like to do this, but only with a group of people. I know how nasty those Leavelanders get and wouldn't really want to venture into the bathroom alone, especially if we were kicking their ass.

I can understand about going to the bathroom. I don't drink so I go to bathroom during pregame buy a bottle of water drink throught the game and then i don't go again while I'm there at the stadium. Or if we are blowing themn out in the fourth quarter and they all leave the bathrooms won't be crowded and it will be relatively safe.

I always thought that Cleveland and Pittsburgh were like 9-10 hours away from MD. Apparently I was wrong.

Please accept my condolences, Braven. Losing a parent is very tough.
In a way, while it would be great to take the tickets and support the Ravens the mean side of me thinks it would be great to see a ton of empty seats in the stadium that supposedly houses "the best fans in the NFL". Isn't that what everyone heard when they were crying about losing the team? Can't you just see the highlite films with nobody there!
The brownies would hate it, but I guarentee you'd get on TV.
Sure, you would also make the news at 11 and the obituaries!
Ravens
Jets
Bills
Pats
Pittsburgh is as close as NY and Cleveland is closer than Buffalo and New England.

I think it would make the most sense geographically to have a division of
Ravens
Redskins
Jets
Eagles

I personally don't care how far or how close the games are...That's what Southwest Airlines was designed for!

Cripes braven . . I'm so sorry about your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts.
I'm thinkin' Cleveland would not be a good place for me to be. Much like I'm not allowed in Pittspuke. :nerd:
Pittsburgh is about 250 miles away. NY about 180.
From my home in Westminster, Giants stadium is 215 miles, to Heinz Field is 213. Being a bit selfish, Pittsburgh is about as close. And for most of Baltimore area it isn't much difference. Northeast of Baltimore there is a difference but not much.
Cleveland, 339 miles
Cincinnati, 505 miles
Buffalo, 340 miles
New Englad, 421 miles
Those are from Westminster.

I'd go but can't with oxygen hooked into me. I'd never make it to the seats and can't go to Ravens games this year for same reason. Life sucks when you can go to see the Ravens.
Trap, don't you mean life sucks when you can't go to see the Ravens?

This group of friends here makes it alot easier. Thanks for all of your kind words.
Sorry to hear about your father, braven.
As far as the thread topic, I'd love to do an away trip, maybe next season. My wife and I have a 4 month old at home, so a road game isn't really an option this year.

My wife and I will be there, our first game at Cleveland.
Should be fun.
Awesome, you driving it or flying it? I was seriously considering doing a New Years trip last year for the last game, but got stuck working. I was trying to figure out what to do when I found out I had to work.

We are flying. A couple things made this trip workout nicely. We met some cool folks on our last vacation who live in Cleveland. He's a Giants fan, she's a Steelers fan. For those who don't have one...I recommend a Southwest Airlines Visa card. We pay most of our bills with it and earn around 4 tickets a year.
For this trip the lodging and the travel is free...plus we visit some cool friends. Because I don't care to get arrested in Cleveland I won't be sporting a jersey.
