View Full Version : WBAL/98 Rock coverage of Ravens is pathetic!

I turn on WBAL after the game yesterday...only to hear a worthless Orioles game. So I figured, well 98 Rock has to have a talk show, then. Nope, playing music only 20 minutes after the game was over. Its inexplicable! So I turned it over to WJFK so I can listen to 1 call followed by 8 commercials. I wish WNST could have post game coverage.

I agree about the 98 rock comments. Their pregame is terrible compared to the uncensored jfk show. kirk mark and spiegel arent sports guys..

the jfk post-game show was longer and much better then 98rock. But 98rock does have a hot weather girl in the tailgate lot so cant complain about that!

Why can't they? Or why can't anyone else? You don't need to hold broadcast rights for the game to do a post-game show. And even if the Ravens wouldn't let you set up at the stadium, you could just host the show at a local bar and take listener calls for a couple of hours. At least it would be something, anything, which is more than we have now.

The lack of radio/TV in a market this size for a team this successful is stunning.

Anyone can have post or pre game show i beleive. JFK has the Ravens Uncensored pre and post game shows and broadcast right from lot o at the stadium. wnst may have a contract with fox or sporting news or something to play their nfl nationwide show or something

At least they had Ravens coverage playing in the men's room this time, and not the O's game.

98 Rock does have a post-game show where they do interviews and talk to fans, but they do mix in music and commercials as well. I think the post-game show is called Ravens Last Call and Stash hosts.

What do you expect from a commercial FM rock station?
