I just talked to someone that works at Ruth's Chris in Pikesville and it is being reported to me that Steve McNair was in Ruth's Chris Saturday night drinking double tall vodka tonics with some family members. I asked if he was just having a drink with dinner, but found out he had several double tall vodka tonics.
Now, the performance on offense was less than stellar on Sunday. I am a bit distressed to find out that on the evening before a home game that our QB was out drinking.

He won't be going out to any Cleavland bars Saturday night. If him being hung over is the reason for a not so good game, then he should have a good game this Sunday. Hopefully he learns from it.

Doesn't the whole team report to the Hotel downtown Saturday and spend the night over there for home games? I am pretty sure of it. I don't understand why he would be in Pikesville Saturday evening when he can be downtown at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

I think the team reports to a hotel night before a game. Hey we have to give him time. The score should have been better but remember when we use to just ask for 20 points a game. Well we have it.

I asked all the same questions you guys would ask, but the person that told me this works there and has for quite some time. This person knows the players because they come in there all the time, and most of the players know this person by name.

Honestly, he's a big guy. I don't think up to eight vodkas washed down with a big Ruth Chris meal hurt him. He had an off day....it happens.
He's not going to appear to be the upgrade that everyone has hoped for due to a couple things.
Boller wasn't as bad as folks thought. Time will prove this out.
McNair at his best isn't exciting rather he's dependable.
I think of it as the emperor's new clothes. If the team thinks this is an improved passing game and it gives them more confidence...thats great, I'll take the wins.
I think we are fortunate to have two quality people that are competitors at the QB position.

I'm not sure if I'm concerned about a few drinks during a steak and potatoes dinner. If the report suggested that he wobbled out of the ruth chris steak house then I would be concerned.

What? The night before one of only 16 regular season games, your QB is several double Vodkas and this isn't a big deal? Dude should have been drinking water and in bed by 8, lights out at 9, up early and ready to go to work. He can drink all those drinks on SUNDAY night after a victory.

what a great debate! a hungover, aging mcnair is better then a sober younger boller! hahaha
Seriously though, last year we scored over 20pts 3 times (11/27, 12/19,12/25), this year we are over 27 pts a game, (i know only 2 games), and the D has only scored 7 pts this year. The rest is all the offense. (some set up by the D of course).

Our D is responsible for almost all of that. They set the offense up continually and they floundered. McNair was horrid on Sunday. This isn't a debate over who is better and I dont want to hear about any Raven player out drinking the night before a game.

Those were pretty much my thoughts exactly. Have a few drinks AFTER the game. Not the night BEFORE.
