Did anyone else see/notice Joey Porter's BYAAAAH!!!! introductions to the pittsburg defense?

As much as I hate Porter, I thought this was funny as hell.

In general, I'm really enjoying allowing a player from each team's starting units to introduce their own players.

As much as people call the NFL the No Fun League, I think they're doing a better job in recent times of letting players get face time, but also trying to do it in ways that don't slow down the pace of the game or that disrepect the game and its great history.

I thought it just showed what an arrogant loudmouth blank that he is,and he had all of 0 tackles last night.

I found every player that did the intros to be incredibly annoying. They should stick with letting the players introduce themselves and not the team.

I watched at a bar with the sound off, but saw him making a fool of himself and couldn't tell what he was saying. Porter is an idiot thug.

i absolutely can not stand porter. he is one of the most overhyped pieces of crap in the league.

that being said, his intros were funny.

the new format is stupid though. i hate the players introducing the team. they only have time to intro 2 or 3 people mixed in with their inside jokes. this is a major difference from the MLB though. it is one more way the NFL gives you a chance to get closer to the players. you can see them joke and be themself in a way you normally would not.

Porter is by far my least favorite NFL player. However, I was dying during his intros....BYAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Porter is the most over-hyped LB in football. Larry foote is 10 times the player he is.

What ever happened to James Farrior?

In 04 the toothless ones were saying he was the next Ray. The guy made 1 ProBowl. HaHaHaHaHaHa

Just another member of the Overrated Pittsburgh LBers club.

This post isn't about hating Porter, PLEASE dont' try to hijack this.

Its more about the humor he used for his unit's introduction and the fact that NFL players are getting more ways and opportunities to get face time, be entertaining, and be marketable.

Hey missed the begining of the game, when you see porter did the into's do you mean the actual stadium intros over the pa system? Or do you only mean when monday night football does the starting o and starting D and it was Porter intro'd them instead of them talking?

I want to know who made him the best linebacker in Pro Football. He needs to stand in line he still has a long way to go.

Porter was mildly amusing. I do prefer letting each player introduce themselves.

Glad to see another excellent poster has made the migration over here.

Great seeing you here Dave.

The announcers said that Porter was doing an imitation of Howard Deans scream which I thought thought was freakin hillarious.

The way they were talking they almost sounded serious too.

Hmmmm . . . I missed Bullet Butt and his intros. It was all I could do to even watch the game considering how I feel about both of those teams :nerd:

I generally like your posts. But, this freaking asshole deserves nothing. Did he have a tackle last night? I see the Steelers crashing and burning real quick. Did they ever remove the bullet from his brain from the shooting a few years ago?

I for one, do not like the new introductions.

I like it better when they introduce themselves.

In my opinion Porter's introduction of the Defense was just plain stupid.

I don't know if he tackled anyone, but I did see him get run over by Fred Taylor of all people.

It was a great weekend with the news Larry Coker is on the way out in Miami and the Ravens W, but nothing tops the shot of Porter sitting on the bench late in the game last night with the blank stare on his face (or the following shots of Polamalu and other Steeler defenders with the same expressions)

Remember this is Tirico and Kornholio doing the announcing for the game. I'd expect them to be serious about it.
