Running out of topical articles, I bounced over to NFL Draft Countdown to see where the latest mock drafts had us finishing. (and thus drafting)
A few had us taking a safety. I don't think so. Not even Landry's brother. Dawan seems just fine for us.
I came across an interesting piece by Scott Wright, talking about the more attractive prospects at this early juncture. No one player really jumped out, but you may find the article interesting.

For once, I'm just enjoying the season as it unfolds, rather than looking ahead to the draft. The past few years, it's been hard to legitimately believe the Ravens could win it all; this year, if we keep getting better week by week, we've got a great shot. I hope we'll be picking DEAD LAST this year.

All I have to say is two words: OFFENSIVE TACKLE.Looks like the only two worthy 1st rounders are Joe Thomas(Wisconson) and Levi Brown(Penn State).

It's better to draft for a future need if possible, as FA more immediately fills current needs, especially on the OLINE. If a Jammal Brown or better prospect falls that far, then we should be looking to FA to fill the RT spot. It's too bad that it appears that we have an exceptional and an acceptable LT and a bottom 10% kind of RT. I think Pashos should improve to almost acceptable once McNair clcks.

And who are these great RT free agents we are going to pursue? You need to build through the draft if you want to be successful.Pashos is not our RT of the future Im sorry to say,and we already have one big time FA we are going to need to sign, that would be AD.
