Is it worth bring him back to add to the teams depth ????
He could be a nice fill in for Ngata between series ..(Something to consider )

Thanks but no thanks. We definitely do not need another aging player, we're already gonna have to replace Ray, Ogden, Stover, McNair, Rolle, Pryce...

:iagree: This team is getting way too old, too fast.
However .... I would like to see him brought back, as a vet minimum priced reserve, for two reasons:
(1) Nostalgia - the additions of free agents Sam Adams and Shannon Sharpe put us over the top in 2000
(2) No one else on the team has a name as cool as Sam's

I'll pass -- if he can't stick with the Bengals, why would we want him? His best days are in the rear view mirror.

Thanks for the memories, Sam.
Time to spend more time with the grandkids.
Less time at the buffet table.
More time counting those millions made, while having fun doing it.

if they had a hole at DT, sure, for one year at minimum. I don't think they need him at this point.

When he wanted to be, he was the best DT in the game.
IMO he was the 2nd most valuable defensive player on the SB team. I was continually amazed how quickly he got off the ball being as large as he was.
Of course, I don't think he ever reached his potential (maybe with us) because he just didn't like to keep his weight under control.
He did have some nice years after he left here after the 2001 season.
That said, bringing him in would be more of an unnecessary PR stunt than a real help on the field.
No thanks.

No thank you. Sam was good for us when we had him but his time has passed. The Ravens have to look at a way to get younger. I wish Sam well I always liked him and thought he did his job while here.

Our defense is all about versatility. I don't think at Sam's size/age versatility is exactly his strong point. Much more a line up in the middle and go forward kinda player. But that said, if we run into training camp injuries *knock on wood*, I would think he has a good relationship with Rex.

With Ngata and Gregg just hitting their prime, I don't see the need. Besides, Big Sam needs to be "managed," and Rex Ryan is too busy to baby sit the big guy.

Didn't Sam verbally bash the Ravens several times when he was with Buffalo and Cincy?
