I know this doesn't concern the Ravens but I hope it can stick here for at least a while.

The first pre-sale tickets went on sale this morning (after an hour's delay due to server problems at ticketmaster, but what's new there?) and 40,000 tickets were sold within 90 minutes. As a moderator of the official nfl forums in the uk, I can assure it was absolute bedlam this morning with easily more people being the angry unfortunate ones that elated fortunate ones. I was one of the unlucky ones who didn't get a password for this pre-sale but I have an option to pick up a spare from a friend if I don't get a group of tickets at a later date.

This won't change many people on here's opinion about the validity of these games, but I hope it shows the passion and the appetite that there is for this game in the UK and Europe, only a handful of tickets remain in this first pre-sale and I'd guess they're in the most expensive band which is £90 (rip-off).

It's going to be an awesome event and I hope a combination of the stadium and the 85,000+ fans in attendance (not sure of what the capacity is for this game as the first few rows aren't being sold as they don't give a suitable view, too low) are able to put across just how much this game is loved in the UK and Europe.

After meeting you and friends at our tailgate parties, seeing Brit message board participation for many NFL teams, and meeting other Limeys who often seem to know more about football than I do: I'm not a bit surprised. This is good timing to have a good showing of support, to reinforce the financial benefit to the NFL of adding the 17th game in foreign countries. I would not be surprised to see the next round or two of NFL expansion including London, Toronto, Mexico City, and a German city or two as candidate cities.

btw: If you know a Dolphins season ticket holder who is not going to the game, you may be able to buy tickets through him. Check out:
