Thanks A LOT TL, as usual. I love reading these, it's a great way to relax when getting home from school.

So do you think Smith will win the 3rd QB, or Finnerty/Olson? Just based on what you've seen from Smith and Finnerty.

Hey just read this one too and, again, I'm impressed by the depth of coverage, the specifics, and the objectivity. I know in that one thread I had a few things to say about an article about passing camp.

But this article is the sh1t!! Felt like I was there . . .

Thanks to all....your encouragement and appreciation are inspiring!!!

Something has to give at the third QB spot. I do think that it's Smith's to lose though. It's unlikely that the Ravens will be able to keep him under the radar and get him on the practice squad and even if they do, there's little chance that a Heismann Winner will stick there.

That said, Olson is performing decently in Europe and a decent showing in camp could make it tough to keep him on the P.S. as well.

The bet here is that they'll try but fail to get Olson on the P.S. They will cut Finnerty but then sign him later to the P.S. when Olson fails to stick there. Smith makes the 53 man roster and if the Ravens are lucky, he's never active for a single game.

That's what my Crystal Ball says.

I went to this online version of the Magic 8 ball (http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~ssanty/cgi-bin/eightball.cgi) and asked: "Will Drew Olson stick on the Ravens practice squad?"

Answer: No way!

Great report, Tony.

Clarence Moore’s activities were limited. He will have a tough time making the final 53 man roster since he is so one dimensional and of very little value to special teams

I think you could have left off the last 3 words in the 2nd sentence. It's still a mystery to me why he's been on this roster for so long.

My guess is that moore had sooooooooo much potential after that first year that the FO didnt want to let him go and blossom somewhere else. I think lots of people were thinking we might have had a star WR on our hands after his rookie year, but that was wrong. I think we cut him and put darling on the the actual team as the 5th WR. That way the only way he see's the field is if someone gets injured.

edit: i asked if the baltimore Ravens would win the superbowl this coming year and it said definately! I like our chances. LOL.
