I created another Yahoo! league for us this year. 12 Teams max with the usually settings. I don't have time for live draft so if you don't like auto-draft then don't join the league.

I'm in....screw it! I prefer live drafts- but I can deal with auto... I'll use the same name I use out here- albeit not as original in THIS league, "RAVENOUS"...

Toobad we can't make some sort of prize for the winner- by having everyone pony up a few bucks... Like 50 yard line tickets to winner for ravens game??? :)

Hi all....ok...sorry I was on vacation the past few days....catching up. It looks like the league is full. Someone made a suggestion of expanding the roster size...so I added 2 more bench players to make it 8 from 6. I'll set the draft to ready TOMORROW NIGHT (8/29) at 9PM EST. This will allow you today to get your pre-draft rankings done. Once I set it ready I don't know the exact time it will conduct the draft....just keep checking it thru the day tomorrow. You will be notified by email when the draft is completed....keep an eye out for that.

IMPORTANT!
Now...for you up all nighters...I'm asking a favor. If the draft is completed late that evening or in the early hours I'm asking people not to make ANY roster changes (that's including picking up and dropping players). I want people to all have a fair shot at free agents and not have 1 person hoard them since they are up at 4AM after the draft. So what I'm asking is no free agent moves till THURSDAY (8/30) night at 7PM EST. This should hopefully give people time to see their roster and look at the potential free agents. Sorry to be a pain but I saw this happen in a different league.

Going forward let's keep all communication thru the Yahoo! board and not here. You can contact me via the site.

Bez, as the commish you can lock the teams' ability to add/drop free agents, but the better idea is to simply set all available players to be on waivers for two days after the draft. That way managers can stop in at any time over the next two days and put in waiver requests for players, and each player will go to the owner with the highest priority, who will then drop to the bottom of the priority line. Meaning that if there are three really good guys left on the waiver wire they'll likely go to three different teams, rather than get grabbed by the one guy who happened to be online at the right time.

Yeah, the waiver thing usually works well, and that keeps people from taking all of the players or at least have to pick who they want the most.

This should be a fun time.


...is there anyone interested in a live draft league? I'd be willing to commish.

I have a couple of very talented TEs that I can afford to spare, and good RB depth to trade from if anyone's interested, plus two top young QBs in Cutler and Leinart, I'll part with either if the deal is right. Looking mainly to upgrade my starters, interested in top tier RB/WR prospects (like, say, Frank Gore :-)
